Setting Up MailChimp Integration Plugin-wide

Important: In order for the submitter’s email address to be communicated correctly to MailChimp, the text field on the form collecting the email address must be named email.

Go to WordPress Dashboard → Contact Forms → Settings → MailChimp Integration. Now you need your MailChimp API key. Log in to your MailChimp account. Click on the drop-down arrow next to your account icon in the top-right corner of the page and then click on Account.

On the Account page click on Extras and then on API Keys.

If you don’t already have an API key you will need to create one. Click the Create a Key button.

Once you have an API key it will appear in the list titled Your API keys. Copy the API key and paste it to the text box on the Settings page for Contact Forms Ready. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Save settings button.

Setting Up MailChimp Integration with a Form

Next you need to select a list for each contact form you want to use to collect emails for MailChimp. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Contact Forms → All Contact Forms and select a form.

On the Edit Contact Form page click the Mailchimp Integration tab. Then select the desired mailing list from the Link to Mailchimp list drop-down. Don’t forget to click the Update button to save your changes.

Now, your form will display an option for the submitter to add themselves to your mailing list.
