Step 3

Shortcode

This is the shortcode you can use to place your Contact Form in a Post or Page.

  • Give your contact form a title.
  • Make sure that you have set the correct email address(es) in the “Send emails to” field. Multiple email addresses can be split by using a comma.
  • If you want to redirect the user to another page when they submit the form, insert the relative URL in the “Redirect to URL after submit” field, or leave it blank to let them come back to the same page after submission.
  • You may change the text value of the submit button using the “Submit button value” input field.

Form type

Select the appropriate form type from the drop-down list. The default is Normal. If your theme supports Ajax, select AJAX (avoids page reloading).

Step 4

Contact Form Ready supports several predefined form types. Or you can create your own contact form using the drag and drop editor.

Step 5

You can customize existing form fields by clicking the Edit button for that field. Available customizations vary by field type.

When you’ve customized the form to meet your exact requirements, scroll up to the top of the page and click the Publish button.

When you are done creating your contact form, copy and paste the shortcode (located at the top of the contact form editor page) into your post or page and press “Publish” or “Update”.

Step 6

Navigate to your contact page where you had pasted the shortcode and test your contact form. Make sure that the emails are being delivered. If not, please check the email address that you inserted into the contact form editor page or check with your host as to why emails are not being sent through WordPress. We recommend using the SendGrid plugin for guaranteed email delivery.
