This article covers adding reCAPTCHA to your forms in Contact Form Ready. This article is based on Contact Form Ready v2.0.00.
We’ve integrated with Google reCAPTCHA to discourage spam form submissions. To set up reCAPTCHA please follow the steps below.
Go to WordPress Dashboard → Contact Forms → Settings → Anti Spam Settings.
Check the Enable reCAPTCHA? box and then click the link in “Click here to set up your reCAPTCHA profile.“
- When the Google reCAPTCHA page displays, scroll down to ‘Register a new site’.
- Type a name for your reCAPTCHA in the ‘Label’ textbox and then choose the appropriate type of reCAPTCHA.
- Add your domain to the Domains list. Then check the box to accept the reCAPTCHA Terms of Service.
- Click the ‘Register’ button.
On the next page, copy and paste the Site key and Secret key to the corresponding box on the Contact Forms Settings page of your WordPress site. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Save Settings button. A reCAPTCHA will be automatically added to all your forms.
